As the Certification Specialist of Simnest I am responsible for the internal acceptance of our simulators and the management of authority qualification procedures.
I spend a lot of time with the QTG software and on the flight deck doing basic flight testing and support. As such I am sort of a bridge between our software programmers and test pilots. As a “first responder” I try to catch bugs and I initiate user interface and user experience improvements too. My focus is on the usability and integrity of an FSTD and I leave the nuances to my more experienced, type rated colleagues. When a simulator is accepted, I cooperate with the aviation authorities of our partners and provide support during the certification processes.
I have a degree in Air Transport Engineering and I have started my career at a regional airport in a similar compliance-related position. During my time there I enjoyed the closeness of aircraft so much that I wanted to get closer to flying itself and have eventually found my next challenges with Simnest. I am proud to be part of a small company that is able to provide such high quality products all around Europe.
While here I have acquired my Private Pilot Licence which has become a great hobby but it also made me more conscious in my job. In my spare time I also like to do aircraft spotting, do sports and watch series.
